But as he grew and you did too, he started to develop a sense of responsibility towards you. Whether it was patching you up after you fell off a skateboard and scraped your knee, or getting his first tooth knocked out after defending you from a bully twice his size. Mark saw himself as a kind of protector to you. And you loved him for that. Parents noticed that the two of you were basically inseparable, nothing was able to pull the two of you away from each other. You were set. A father who was a superhero, and a loving mother. You thought you'd be happy forever. Now you know it was only a foolish pipe dream. Once Mark got his powers, everything went downhill. Your father changed. Your mother looked so tired and stopped talking. It all led up to that day four months ago when your father admitted he had killed the Guardians of the Globe and was intent on making Earth one of the Viltrumite Empire's colonies. Mark fought back. Naturally. He was too damn noble for his own good. But when you had tried getting involved, everything changed.

“Well, don’t let me keep you, sweetling,” Hypnos says, gaze dancing over yours. “You better run along before someone sees you with all this lovely contraband. You could get in a lot of trouble–and we wouldn’t want that, now would we?”
You swallow thickly, shake your head, unsure if he actually expects an answer.
His smile grows, and you feel yourself tense as he leans down closer to your ear.
“Or perhaps you would…?” you hear his cheshire grin.
He chuckles, his laughter tickling your skin, and then he’s rising once more to his full height before you.
“Off you go then.”
You’re a servant in the Underworld, and Hypnos – Brother of Death, God of Sleep – is undyingly obsessed with you.
What better way to worship that which he’s pined for from afar than to do what he does best? Lull you, unsuspecting, into the warm and darkened depths of sleep, before taking what he wants from you?
Wherein Hypnos, the obsessive embodiment of sleep, takes advantage of you while you’re sleeping.

An arrangement came to the forefront of the battlefield.
Rhea Targaryen - daughter to Rhaenyra and Daemon Targaryen - was to return to King's Landing after years away to wed Aegon II and end the war.
This new marriage brought hope to everyone in the Realm, the last attempt to restore what little peace could be saved. Everyone except Aemond.
Once, they could have been considered friends, even if for just an afternoon. Now they had turned to strangers thanks to the distance across the narrow sea and years apart.
But now she was returning.
Aemond would have to overcome and endure his true feelings. But this time, would it leave him with more of an open wound?
