Summary
After The Battle with The Dead, a time of peace has fallen over the five clans. The mountain cats are sure that there will be a permanent time of peace after countless wars and deaths. However, despite the hope, the cats feel a shadow looming over the clans and the darkness growing within their own ranks is getting harder and harder to ignore.
Moonpaw, the daughter of Pineclan's leader, Viperstar and the granddaughter of the clan's hero, Moonstar, feels nothing but inadequate. Despite the love and friendship she receives in her clan, her eyes still drift over the border to gaze longingly at the territory beyond her own. Her dreams in which the great founders of the clans, both previous and current, insist she must go on a journey don't help with her need to wander. Torn between her heart and her loyalty to her clan, Moonpaw must make a decision. Either follow her strange dreams and her heart, or to stay within her clan where she feels like an outsider despite her kin.
