Romantics keep failing to mention that a brutal 50% of people never find their soulmate, let alone that an extra 10% of people don’t even get a soulmark!
Amity refuses to get her hopes up. Why would she? The poor teen would never find her soulmate. Even if she did, what then? It wasn’t like one person could make a significant difference in her world…

Summary
In this AU, Luz doesn't accidentally wind up in the Boiling Isles - instead, Amity summons a door to the human world which Luz ends up falling through. She doesn't have a way to get back home until Amity can resummon the door, which she struggles to do. In the meantime, Luz is desperate to get to know the real Boiling Isles, but she's confined to a closed-off room in Blight Manor to stay as far away from Amity's parents as possible.
Meanwhile, Amity struggles to come to terms with her feelings. This human and these emotions are all new to her, but every time something goes wrong between them, a new wave of pain hits her - and hard.
With the help of Willow, Amity, along with Ed, Em, and Luz, look for a way to find the Owl Lady, and hopefully, send Luz back home, all while hiding from Amity's crazy-strict parents and the rest of the Boiling Isles.
But little do they know the secret lying behind Amity's summoning spell, that could threaten to tear everything apart...

Amity hadn't dreamed to spend her summer like this. She had just graduated from a prestigious private school and had hoped she could escape to her own little adventure until her scholarship at the college starts, but instead, her parents decide to pimp up her résumé and make her a supervisor at their newest little project, a mansion in the middle of nature.
