In the state of the world as it is, sleep feels like the last place of peaceful rest one could get.
Of course, Sam wasn’t lucky enough to be gifted with that. Not tonight, anyhow.
Eyes flickered over the chips in the wall paint, glancing over to the significant hole in the wall.
Neither was Sybil lately from what she said, so they shared that at least, in some weird, abstract way.

Sam wakes in the middle of the night and can't fall back to sleep. Sybil hasn't slept at all, and what else is there to do besides a small, comforting conversation?

Summary
Mu has always loved art activities, pages upon pages of various drawings littered wherever she goes, now kept safely tucked away within a sketchbook. However, a big interest of hers is getting into painting, Wanting to bring images to life with shapes and colours, but the time she tries, It doesn't look anything like what she imagined. No matter how hard she tries, it never sits right. For the moment, she distracts herself with some company from the beloved Hatted girl, and hoping that her skills will fix up by themselves, saving her from humiliation.

Hat is stubborn and persistent, she knows that herself, but it's saved her from many scenarios and helped reclaim not only her time pieces in the past. It can't be a bad thing in any situation, not to her. When she finally takes up an offer to act again, It takes quite a lot at once to get the hint that maybe pushing your limits all the time isn't a good thing.

So Much has happened to Mu this year it seems, and it finally feels like it's going in the right direction, and despite the troubles the two girls have had, Mu and Hat are as close as ever it feels, and Mu has been breaking down more of her walls in order to let her through, slowly.
It was Mu's turn to decide what to do tonight, and she picked one of her fondest memories, despite the lingering feeling of dread that follows behind it.

Summary
Something goes wrong. The crown is split during Narinder's defeat, splitting the power between him and the Lamb.
Narinder keeps a portion of his godhood, and the Lamb finds that abilities they had access to before are no longer possible: Healing is cut short. Powers are halved. And there is a very real chance of perma-death, as the ability to resurrect is not possible without full power, and the God of Death is not cooperative.
Afterlife and Purgatory are not options either. Dying means erasure. Gone.Lambert knows Narinder grows stronger by the day, crown or not, and yet keeps him spared as they try to figure out how to complete their own goals. Narinder vows vengeance on the lamb for usurping him. After a few unsuccessful murder attempts, he's in for the long haul. It is only a matter of time before the Lamb's guard is down before he can strike, and The One Who Waits is very patient. When a mystic being demands they save the bishops from purgatory, an alliance is in order.
Except...the lamb's actions and their presence begin to unlock abilities within the God of Death he didn't know he had prior to his imprisonment, among other fickle things, like emotions. The prophecy didn't warn him of that part.
