They definitely did not expect to be falling asleep only to be thrust into wakefulness in a world that is really, really not their own. Not the culture, and not the environment... but most importantly...

After the rift is sealed, the wardens and nobles hold their own private celebration after they leave the festival held in Jubilife. One that's just for them.
It goes over a bit better than their time at the festival, all things considered.
Or: sometimes you have to hold a second smaller party with just you and your family in order to actually relax after months of end-of-the-world scenarios.

Hisui has been struck by a strange epidemic, turning people into Pokémon. The Lords and Ladies of the land can't shake the feeling that there is more to the strange lightning and rifts than this, though.
Wardens have sacrificed time, effort, and food for their Nobles throughout the generations. Perhaps this generation, the Nobles can sacrifice something for their Wardens, give them shelter from the storm to come...
