Cheng Xiaoshi spends the next several minutes just staring at the photograph, his finger running gently down the curve of Lu Guang's sunlit features. His mother's voice sounds from the back of his head.
The photograph is a window into the photographer's soul. Look, baobei, what does this photo tell you about the person who took it? What emotions do they feel?
Attraction. Longing. Desire. It might as well be written in Sharpie over Lu Guang's face, big bold characters in Cheng Xiaoshi's handwriting.
Fuck. He really has been blind.
