Summary
In a land of myth, and a time of magic... the destiny of a great kingdom rests on the shoulders of a young boy. His name... Merlin. Now, over a millennia later, that boy has seen the rise and fall of countless kingdoms and witnessed the near extinction of humanity, but still his king has not returned. However, as of late, the myths of the land once thought long dead, are now waking up and the time of magic is suddenly returning with a vengeance.
Nothing is truly as it seems and the promised return of the once and future king can only mean one thing. Merlin is prepared to do anything, but fighting for the future of the world is going to take more than just himself alone.
Or: Merlin moves back to 21st Century London to look into the strange pull of magic that's popping up all over. There, he meets Sherlock Holmes and John Watson and finds himself back in the middle of an age-old war between the nature of magic and the cruelty of man.

Ilya let himself soften into it. He’d missed this, the simple camaraderie between teammates. He did feel lonely, but in some ways he felt safer with this team, and Shane had given him that, it was because of Shane that he moved to Ottawa. All the good things in his life curved back to Shane. Looking around, he tried to imagine him here, not Shane Hollander the hockey player, but his Shane, the man who made the darkest rooms feel like home. He felt suddenly certain that they would welcome him with love and respect. And, God help him, he was still hoping like an idiot that Shane would walk through the door.
Ilya tightened his grip on his roasting stick, jaw set, trying to divert his thoughts back to the present, when a ripple went through the group. Conversation dipped, then stopped completely.
“Um… what the fuck,” Dillon muttered, eyes flicking toward the house. “Is that Shane Hollander?”

Summary
Ilya Rozanov's life takes an unexpected turn when a deadly plane crash in 2021 takes his life, right after a fight with his long-time partner, Shane Hollander. Though instead of the afterlife, Ilya is sent back to December 2008, just before his NHL career began, on the very day that he first met Shane. Summary
Shane decides he should let everyone believe he has a hook-up in every city, so it will no longer seem suspicious that he always disappears in Boston. While Shane is proud of himself for the ruse and for the ability to explore new places after away games, Ilya handles the new rumor with grace and dignity. Which is to say he suddenly feels the need to text and maybe even call Shane on his roadies to see if he can keep him occupied.

Summary
The pounding on the door is what jolts Shane awake. Instinctively he tries to jump to his feet and rush to get it, but a heavy weight around his torso and on top of his legs prevents him from moving. As consciousness slowly returns to him, breaking through the haze of his hangover—and possible still-drunken state—he realizes that he is being held by Rozanov.
