Bruce Wayne is a bit of a collector. He doesn’t collect cursed bird figurines like the Penguin (being a result of a curse himself), nor does he collect anything furry and feline like Selina, not even all things deadly, or forged by deadly curses like Slade Wilson. No. He collects lonely, bereaved children like he himself was not too long ago.
Children of a less than human persuasion.

Summary
After years of rehabilitation and running, Jason returns to Gotham after having had his throat slit by Batman.
On good days, Jason can speak. More often than not he can't - communicating through sign language instead.
Returning to Gotham entails Jason facing his demons, and reconciling with his family. Well most of the family, bar one. All under the nose of Batman, of course.
But can Jason keep from falling under Bruce's thumb?
