Summary
Yoo Joonghyuk should’ve known better than to trust Yoo Mia’s, a child’s, judgment on animals. At the very least, he should’ve had greater reservations for adopting one. Maybe then, maybe if he simply acted like an adult and said no he wouldn’t be in this situation. Chasing down a white, annoying dog whom acted like it’s one motivation in life was to torture Yoo Joonghyuk’s very existence. Of all things the dog could have taken for a toy, it decided to steal the man’s game controller. Right before his stream started.
He was going to be late at this rate!
“Reader! Bring that here!”
The white dog sat on it’s bed, one of the only times it would ever actually use the bed bought specifically for the animal. It kept its front paws outside of the fluffy fabric however, like telling Yoo Joonghyuk the dog was ready to zoom out if the man dared to walk too closely. The controller lay loosely in the bad boy’s mouth. Any movement forward, the dog would growl and spread its hind legs. It was ready to run but Yoo Joonghyuk did not have the time to give chase.

Summary
His mouth was filled with cotton as he realized he’s seen this before, he opened his eyes, ready to call out again but unable to speak. His jaw clenched as he looked down at his bloodied hands, knowing he needed to do something, that he wants to change the ending of this story, this story they’ve made together, allow Kim Dokja to somehow change his fate, but despite his will to unfurl his hands to allow the sword to drop… his weapon was glued to his palm, ready for the final strike.
“Joonghyuk-ah.” He hears Kim Dokja say, but he can barely raise his head. He saw Kim Dokja smile, surely in agony, and Yoo Joonghyuk could not lift his gaze any higher to meet his eyes.
When he finally opened his mouth, he felt the slide of thick, wet paper in his throat as he fell to the ground, he coughed only to feel his throat constrict further. More and more papers fell from his mouth as he listens to Kim Dokja’s laughter. The wet blood on his hands and body stretch outwards as it slowly turns to black around him. He couldn’t breathe, and his eyes closed as he couldn't even see through the tears glazing over his vision. His hands are suddenly empty, and he reached out only to feel nothing.

Summary
Kim Dokja, a peasant man of who has little to his name aside from a strong passion for reading, finds himself suddenly hunted by the queen for reasons unknown. Now, on the run from the queen, rescued by a wizard named Yoo Jonghyuk, Kim Dokja must figure out why he's being sought after – both by the dark witch queen and one of the most notorious wizards in the land.
The push and pull between the poor man and powerful wizard, both craving answers, only propels them further into a journey full of exploration, passion, and love.
