He's assigned to lead a group of ex-criminals called the Z-Team, and this might be his toughest challenge yet. On a positive note, he has Robert Robertson and Blonde Blazer to call on for help, but how long will he be able to keep his sanity? That remains to be seen, but Invisigal can't wait to see what happens.

Summary
A year after Shroud's defeat, the Phoenix Project is officially recognized as a fantastic success. When the director of the SDN pays Torrance an unexpected visit to commend the team, it's no surprise that she wants to meet the dispatcher who made it happen. She lets him know that there's an opening at SDN's downtown branch-- you know, where the real heroes work-- and Robert's a perfect fit for the job. After all that work, he and his team have the chance to move up in the world: new costumes, new branding, maybe even merch... how could he say no?
Sure, a few of the SDN's top golden boys might've gone rogue, and that might be Robert's problem, but who's got time to worry about that when ex-villains are making their superhero debut?
[Written before Episode 7 but meant to be an extension of the story after Chapter 8. Unfortunately I wrote this assuming that the death at the end of Chapter 6 was permanent, but things are otherwise canon-compliant!]

Religious scripture upon Earth were just musings and ramblings of humans, based on rumours and speculations Charlie knew. It was why she never bothered reading about them, after all she knew her parents and their stories for they lived through Eden and then the centuries that passed as humanity flourished and Hell swelled with Sinners. She had no desire to learn anything else beyond what she knew as truth.
Of course if she did read any of those books, she might have known that Heaven isn't without its zealous divine retribution. And as the Klingons like to say, 'revenge is a dish best served cold' so the breaking of the contract between Heaven and Hell combined with the death of the First Man means plans of vengeance ten thousand years in the making finally go into motion.
