Alphas, the strongest and most powerful, had the most control, no matter which ring they lived in, they were always respected. Beta, the most numerous of all dynamics, were typical, gray citizens. They still have more power than the lowest caste, the omegas.
John "Soap" MacTavish belonged to the last of these castes. As a single father, omega, without a partner to take care of them - he had to fend for himself. However, he was not afraid of hard work and was able to do anything for his pup.
His life, though imperfect, was stable until the day fate decided to put him to the test.Simon "Ghost" Riley - alpha, former member of the Special Forces and now the best cop in New London. But he was not used to living as a civilian. He also had a bad habit of helping his friends even when his boss told him otherwise. Thus he had become entangled in the case of a certain, innocent omega who surely needed help.

He gets up, and walks to the door behind König’s back, patting his shoulder on the way out. The sudden touch makes König flinch, as if the premise of being in a new place, meeting new people, under a new Lieutenant: it makes König dread the day that comes after. And that sounds like a blatant disgrace to anyone in his spot, because for a man who just feared being discharged, it is an honor for him to simply be transferred.
But that’s who König thinks himself to be. An ungrateful bastard who knows nothing but to hide, and then take– a never-ending cycle of eating his own tail.
He scurries out of the cell-like room, glancing at the cameras as he leaves.

Ghost is one of the best in SAS. But he doesn't do undercover work. This is a favour to Price, to Laswell. As dedicated as he is to finishing the mission this deployment might have been a mistake. Something he is sure of when an out of place Scotsman shows up and he has to chose to watch him suffer the beatings or to take him under his wing and risk his cover

Soap turned in time to see Tom Hanks appear. But it wasn’t quite Tom Hanks, something was wrong with his-
Oh. Soap laughed. “This is Polar Express! It’s my sister’s favorite.”“What’s wrong with him?”
“It’s a cartoon.” Soap yawned and thought about what he’d just said. “But…not really.”
“I hate it.”
“Like me to change it, sir?”

Soap's been shipped out to a safehouse in the Canadian Wilderness alone, except then Ghost shows up, but maybe Soap wasn't supposed to be shipped out in the first place? And Soap's been running on zero sleep and pure angst since they left Chicago. 'Tis the season.

It was a fight club made of stolen soldiers, a scene so gut-wrenching that some of even the twisted crooks of the underworld had to turn away. It was a gladiator ring coloured in so much red that even the Romans would be impressed. Many had attempted to take it down, from inside and out. However, when some of the cruellest cartel members and mafia bosses owned the business in a nausea-inducing deal - it was difficult to even step foot in the place without being shot on the spot.
Yet, despite all odds, there was one soldier who prevailed.
‘Ghost.’
The only soldier captured who had survived the Gladiator ring.

Summary
König was hopelessly in love with Ghost. He wasn’t exactly sure when it happened, if it was the day Ghost had praise him for his sniping skill, or if it was when he first laid eyes on Ghost. All he knew was that the love he hold wasn’t going to be returned, at least not with Soap around. Sunshine, loveable Soap with cold-hearted, Charismatic Ghost.
