The curse absorbs small shocks now. Phoenix Wright is not necessarily in danger from them, but it has grown attached. Its duty is to keep its host alive, keep him moving forwards, no matter what, and it has performed well over the years. A few sentimentalities are excusable. Phoenix is safe. That is what matters.

Wright is depressed and burnt out and dealing with his disbarment. Edgeworth is anxious and overwhelmed by everything Wright and Wright’s disbarment mean to him. Isn’t this a great time to start a relationship? No, it really isn’t, and they don’t - except they kind of do. And it gets kind of messy. But we all know they will sort it all out eventually, right? The question is, how. That’s what I really wanted to know, and since the games leave much to the imagination, here is my attempt to fill in the seven-year gap with character and relationship development.
I will as much as I can refrain from retelling the official storyline, so to make sense of this story you will need to have played at least the first four AA games, and ideally the fifth one – Dual Destinies - as well. Tags will be added as the story progresses.

(or based off my idea that part of the reason Phoenix drinks grape juice is because the tamper proof lids give him some security about being poisoned due to his trauma with poison.)
