    Summary

    After showing his face to the mages on Tenrou Island, Zeref decides to send Lucy and Wendy away before Acnologia arrives, out of respect for Lucy's relation to his former ally (of a sort) and Wendy's young age. Appearing back in Magnolia like they'd never left for the S-Class Promotion Exams, the two have the opportunity to grow during the seven years the others are trapped on the island.

    If Zeref had any way of knowing how his decision would change things (change *everything*), he wouldn't have bothered to spare them.
