And that one’s easy, because spending the rest of his life with Stanley Marsh has been the plan since day one. It’s why they skipped the proposals and went straight into the wedding planning, agreeing on an unremarkable (if chillier than usual) morning in November that marriage was their next logical step; a business transaction moreso than a particularly romantic occasion, over and done with before they even started breakfast. Forever has always been a forgone conclusion with the two of them. No need to sully it with banal, inundating gestures to reaffirm what they’ve known since they were in diapers.
“Dumb question,” Kyle says, weaving their hands back together, “you know I’m only in this for the life insurance policy.”
Kyle Broflovski is getting married to the man he's loved since before he knew what 'love' meant. He could afford to be more excited about it.

A spinoff of CustardBattle's "Finding Some Kind of Normal". Your standard zombie apocalypse scenario. Highly recommended that you read the original piece first, but this could technically be understood as a standalone. Focuses on characters and relationships not explored in as much depth as others in the first story, because I'm a sucker for being unoriginal and talentless. This might end up gayer than intended, like everything else I write, but that's not really a surprise, now is it?
