And then Jacob’s knees lock up, and his fists clench where he’s trapped them behind his back, because Sunwoo drops to his knees, hands clasped in front of him in entreaty, and pouts up at him exaggeratedly, licking his lips.
“... for forgiveness, that is,” Sunwoo clarifies. “Forgive me for using your towel, Jacob-hyung.”
(Or: Sunwoo uses Jacob’s towel without permission, so naturally, he blows him as an apology. Like, how else does one say sorry to one’s good bro/teammate?)

It’s just.

To say that he runs to his car would be incorrect, as he is a Lan, and running is both undignified and unnecessary unless in immediate danger. Nor does he slam his key into the ignition, or aggressively swerve around the cars on the freeway, or have a mild panic attack at the fact he is picking A-Yuan up late from school for the first time ever.
He comes close, though.
By the time he arrives, it’s 4:35PM, and he has imagined about fifty different worse-case scenarios. The door is partly open when he gets to it, a messy label of 104B—Art Room scrawled with chalk on a placard next to the faded wood. As he opens it fully, he expects to see a wailing, terrified child, or perhaps a scene of utter misery and betrayal.
What he finds is his son, hands covered in paint, being sung to by a beautiful, dark-haired stranger.
“Ducks live in the pond, yellow ducks, happy ducks!”
Lan Wangji stops in his tracks.

Kim Seokjin is twenty seven when his heart finally breaks.
Honestly, he thinks it’s impressive he made it that long. It’s not like he’s suffered for lack of opportunity - being both a beautiful person, and surrounded by beautiful people, you’d think he could have found someone sharp to impale himself on before his make-up artist started him on collagen treatments.
But it turns out that being chased down on the street by an SM Entertainment scout isn’t actually great for your love life when you take them up on it. The ‘no dating’ clause isn’t official in their contracts (anymore), but common sense holds that you keep any encounters that could be interpreted as romance to a minimum if you want to continue throwing finger hearts at crowds of adoring fans.
Especially if those romantic encounters are likely to be with men.
(Or: Kim Seokjin accepted an offer from SM Entertainment years ago, and debuted with EXO. He falls in love with Yoongi, an in-house producer, and plans on doing nothing about it - especially once he finds out Yoongi is already seeing someone.
