Summary
“That’s the fifth time I’ve hit my hip on the table,” he says, rubbing his side as if it’ll stop the sting. “Your kitchen is too small.”
“I know.” Eddie grabs for the butterknife and starts the precarious process of raking away the black streak without fucking up his masterpiece beneath. “We’ll look for a house with a bigger kitchen on Zillow after the bake sale.”
Buck makes a funny noise, like a raccoon caught in the trash. “What?”
-
Eddie buys a new house, battles with the homeowner's association, omits the truth, almost dies, and during the process realizes yeah, he's a little bit in love with his best friend.

Summary
Eddie never felt nervous around Buck before. Sure, at their first meeting things didn’t go as smoothly as they usually go when he meets a -may he now say handsome- man for the first time. But after that, their friendship never made him nervous… Not like this, at least.
It was way too hot at the station, and it took everything in Eddie's power not to watch as Buck took off his already sweaty shirt and replaced it with a new, clean one.
This shift was going to be a long one.
He is going to give himself heatstroke if he doesn't take his eyes off of Buck right this second.
----
As Buck comes closer to them, Eddie also turns around and can’t stop his eyes from running down Buck’s chest. Dear God, he looks breathtaking, just look at that soft curly happy tra- Eddie quickly moves his eyes back up when he realizes what is happening.
Or
Buck, Eddie, and Chris go to a waterpark, and Eddie realizes his feelings for Buck. Miscommunications and slight angst ensue, but a happy ending ofc:)

Summary
(keep my hand in yours)
Buck tastes like the beer they drank after they got in, the dumplings they picked up from that good Japanese place just on the corner from the firehouse, like soy sauce and the garlicky sriracha he likes to put on literally everything. It’s the best thing Eddie’s ever tasted. He’s pretty sure he’ll never want to detach his mouth from Buck’s ever again.
Buck does do that, however. Pulls away just a hairbreadth, breathes in sharply through his mouth. A grumpy little whine cuts through the silence of the kitchen like thunder.
“Oh,” Buck whispers, sixty different shades of smug, and Eddie’s face gets all boiling when he realizes the sound came from him. “Huh.”Or,
Buck gives Eddie his world back, and Eddie is in love with him. They go from 0 to a 100 real quick.Series

Summary
They stared at one another from across the table.
“L-Look at us, just a couple of complete strangers on a date,” Buck wheezed, his face flushed and eyes alight with something Eddie couldn’t quite place.
“Yep,” he smiled back, trying to temper his sudden nerves.
Clearing his throat, he leaned forward and offered his hand.
An adorable line furrowed Buck’s brow before he took it, his hand engulfed by Eddie’s and gripping him tight.
An electric zing shot up Eddie’s arm when their fingers met. He tried to ignore it. (And failed).
“So,” he made a show of reading Buck’s nametag as their hands dropped, “Evan. We’ve got six minutes. What do you wanna talk about?”
