Summary
Diluc was in the midst of sluggishly scrubbing a glass when the sound of the door opening reached his ears. Archons know he prayed that it wasn't a last-minute guest. Ways to subtly turn the person down and tell them to come back the next day were quickly swarming into his head.
Slightly irritated, Diluc closed his eyes and exhaled inaudibly. He wiped his hands with a nearby towel and was about to excuse himself when, finally, a soft-spoken voice resounded behind his back.
"My apologies for the sudden intrusion. Are you still open?"
Although Diluc was fully prepared on what to say, the moment he turned around the words got caught in his throat.

“I will take this one.” Said the child. Her voice— the man with gray hair recognized— was clear and confident, quite unfitting for someone her age and being in a place such as this.
“But madam, although an excellent fighter, this one has an appalling attitude and is unbelievably disobedient! We have many more goods that are more befitting for your purchase! Are—”
“Did you not hear my Lady?” Said the blonde.
“Please wait!” A hulking man interrupted. “Young lady and nobleman! Please take me instead! You see, I am the one who beat that gray scoundrel into that state! I am stronger than—”
All the man got was a backhand slap right into his face, hitting so hard he flew a few meters backwards just from a swipe of the blonde’s hand. It was a miracle his neck didn’t break from the impact.
___________________A story where Kaveh and Nahida purchased Alhaitham from an underground gladiator arena to keep as a 'pet'- At least that was what it looked like at first glance.

Summary
If there is one thing Kaveh is good at, it’s architecture and arguing with his roommate. Their arguments reach a new high, when Kaveh’s latest project leaves no time for chores and their home turns into a mess of unwashed dishes and discarded sketches. Threats and snappy comments are thrown around, but Alhaitham doesn’t pay it much thought. Neither of them act on their threats anyways.
Or at least he thought so. Alhaitham is confronted with his bitter misconception, when Kaveh doesn’t return home, after threating to move out. Only then he realizes how silent those halls feel without the lively chatter of his roommate. Shortly after, Alhaitham decides to look for his ex-roommate and apologize.

Now he has to convince Alhaitham to play the part, when his client insists on meeting the “love of his life”.

Kaveh and Alhaitham live together. Nothing ever happens. Nothing ever hurts. But sometimes, when Kaveh watches Nahida idly finish her homework, he gets the feeling that he’s forgetting something important.
Kaveh must have fallen asleep at his desk again, the morning light hitting his eyes like a slap. He blinked at the soft green blanket over his shoulders. When he stumbled into the hall, Alhaitham was sitting in the living quarters with his back to him, soundproof earpieces alit.
He had a stupid moment where he wanted to call out to Alhaitham. What would he even say? ‘I’m having some trouble.’ ‘Is the blanket yours?’ ‘You were right, I’m in over my head.’ ‘Can you hear me out?’ ‘Help me. Please, help me.’
Stupid. He yawned and went to stumble his way to the kitchen. From his periphery, he thought he saw Alhaitham turn towards him with a look like he wanted to say something. But that, too, surely was just a very nice dream.
