Summary
Everything's looked a little gray to Eiji for a while now, and it's been getting worse over time. He only sees true colors on the canvas, not in his subjects. Of course, he doesn't want to reflect this reality in his portraits, but that means that the end result is a lie. He presents the client with a false perception of themselves, a more beautiful and more colorful version of the life they live. Eiji doubts that anyone else really sees the subjects the way that they look on the canvas—he certainly doesn't—but they'd much rather be handed a beautiful lie than an ugly truth.
— — —
Ash is used to life being in black and white—he views color and enjoyment as items for children to indulge in, not adults, and he hasn't considered himself a child in a long time.
Not for a very, very long time.
Who will invite color to return to your life?
