“Jax? Did he..? Did he threaten you?” Ragatha felt her heart drop, despite her talk with kinger she still couldn't help but blame herself for leaving Pomni with Jax, her hand wrapped the wooden arm of her rocking chair.
“What.? No! No no.. I'm worried for him, I mean..” she shuffled on ragatha's bed, “ I've never met someone before they abstracted but…” she could only make herself make eye contact for a second at a time before looking back at her hands, or the bed or anything else.

A disease has spread to the majority of the population, leaving everyone in a zombie-like state save for the lucky survivors. Luz Noceda and Amity Blight put aside their initial bickering and struggle to survive in an apocalyptic world.
What they soon learn, however, is that there’s much more to this situation than a simple infection.

She pushed the door open. Luz steeled herself and stepped through. As soon as she saw the kitchen, though, she understood exactly why Amity hadn’t been able to explain what had happened.
Hunter was huddled underneath the kitchen table, knees pressed to his chest, inching himself farther into the crevice as Willow crouched beside him. Hunter was also sat on top of the counters and kicking his legs back and forth against the cupboard doors as a fountain of words gushed out from his mouth. Not to mention, Hunter was halfway into the fridge, munching on an apple. He was sitting on a barstool with his eyes glazed over. He was gesturing wildly with a steak knife as he shouted at Vee.
He was doing all of this, because somehow, against all logic, he was in five places at once. Because there were five separate Hunters in the kitchen. Because Luz had messed up the potion one two three four five different ways, and if she’d learned one thing from Eda, besides identity theft, it was that potions were precise, they were exact and they were specific and they never did the same thing once they were messed with.
“Oh my King,” she mumbled.

Despite all the weird feeling around her, none of it explained why she was here at the first place. Did the glyph went wrong? Where was everybody else then? Where was Ghost by the way? He never left her side if it isn't to play with her friends' palismen, and she doubted everything was so calm for him to be doing this right now.
Amity unconsciously raised a hand to scratch the back of her neck, only to freeze when her fingers touched a familiar collar.
And it wasn't her moon pendant necklace, she had taken it off when she wore her Hecate costume in the human world.

Luz backs out of the car, brandishing her pen and paper, and then turns to the stranger.
“I didn’t do any damage, but I was still gonna write something because-” She stops mid-sentence, because it’s then that she gets a good look at the other woman, and all the words in her mouth turn to mush.

Summary
Luz Noceda is an aspiring pro Magic: the Gathering player, but has had a rough year with the passing of her father and her family moving to a new town: Gravesfield, Connecticut. However, things seem to be coming up Luz here. She finds The Owl House Cards & Games run by Eda Clawthorne, a former pro Magic competitor, and bonds with her new friends, Willow and Gus, over the game. This isn't without its challenges, though, as the most popular girl in school, Amity Blight, moonlights as a fellow tournament grinder, which throws Luz into a fierce rivalry.
This is a pseudo-retelling of the story of The Owl House mixed in with my own twists on certain characters and plot points. I hope you all enjoy this mix of two of my biggest hyperfixations! Maybe this will inspire some of the awesome Owl House fandom to play Magic too!

Summary
Introducing Owl Pellets. A collection of short stories derived from the Owl House. I recently finished my first fanfic and found myself at a loss for what to do next. I don't currently have any plans for big projects but I also didn't want to just fall off writing all together so I came up with a compromise. This is the result.
Each story is going to be a one shot of ideas I had involving the Owl House and it's characters. They will run the gamut from AUs to canon divergence and maybe even some in canon stories. We'll play it by ear. I will try to indicate the premise in each chapter so you can pick and choose.
Lastly, I am still newish to this whole fanfic thing and I could really use some feedback. My favorite thing about doing this so far is the real time input I get from readers. So please leave a comment to let me know if you spot an error, or tell me something you liked, or even just hate on it. As cliche as it sounds, every little bit helps.

Hunter Wittebane is a top student at NYU Stern Business school in the 90s — academically that is. Unfortunately, past trauma and social anxiety has kept him from succeeding in a way that his uncle — a mogul in the Christian Music Industry— finds acceptable.
Willow Park is also a senior undergrad (also at NYU) who manages the flower booth at her fathers’ four bodegas (Parks on the Park). As graduation approaches she has hoped to get accepted into a competitive Masters for Environmental Science -- during the day that is.
At night she’s the singer/bassist for the underground punk band The Emeralds.
When Hunter messes up the last of many disastrous interviews for a summer internship, he stumbles into The Owl House, a famous East Village rock club, rained on and desperate to find a payphone.
What he discovers is the key to his past, present and future.
And maybe even a chance at love.
