He clasps his sheathed sword with stiffened hands; his fingernails are bruised violet and blue. The bruises are painted over, but the manner of his death is no secret; thousands of men watched him and Vermithor plummet from the sky at Cape Wrath. A one in a million shot, Boremund Baratheon proclaimed, voice shaking in shock. But all it took was a single scorpion bolt to fell Vermithor, just as it only took the one to lay low Meraxes. Like Rhaenys, the Conqueror’s beloved sister queen, Jaehaerys fell with his dragon, caught in the straps of the saddle. He was a strong swimmer, but he stood no chance when he sunk into that burning sea, surrounded by ships full of screaming Dornishmen, shouting out in panic, terror, joy, and relief.

Aemma can’t comprehend of such a thing, but then again, she has never fallen in love, and she certainly hopes the first man she falls for is not poor and lowborn, no matter how pretty his looks.

Now Ratchet, Bulkhead, and Jack Darby must adjust to life in futuristic Detroit while Ratchet, Bulkhead, and Sari Sumdac get involved in a Cybertronian war in the small town of Jasper.
Unbeknownst to the Autobots, the Decepticons have also been affected by the BUTT's malfunction. Blackarachnia and Lugnut are transported to the Nemesis in the midst of a war that their faction lost millions of stellar cycles ago. And in another universe, Starscream and Soundwave are stuck on Earth with uncooperative Decepticons and another chance to reclaim their homeworld.
