Summary
Rebirth was not something that he had thought possible. Perhaps, he had had some vague hopes of reincarnation cycles as the more desirable option to afterlife. But being reborn in what he believed to be a fictional universe had only seemed as the premise of stories.
Waking up to a void of nothing, no light, no body, no feeling, and then being thrown into the midst of what had once seemed a mere fantasy— it was too much.
As an A.I., how much could he change? Could he save Tony? Could he save the world without his sacrifice? Or should he not do anything? What if his existence was the butterfly that would destroy the timeline, and with it, the universe?
Was this even a choice? Was he to play the villain? So the timeline could remain intact?
Could he even do that?
"You doing ok, kid?" Tony asked him.
"I'm fine, Tony, really."

While trying to start a heavily modded game of Fallout 4, Basil's computer exploded and sent him to a different world. Maybe hitting the mod limit wasn't the smartest thing to do. At least he was given game-like abilities, which will be generously abused. With his bullshit powers, Basil is going to make this world his bitch. Follow along as Basil meets familiar faces and new friends while learning how to live in and dominate the post apocalypse Boston.
From the author:This is an spinoff AU of my other novel: Making It in Night City. This story will be faster paced, more wish fulfillment, more smut, and considerably less serious.
The female love interests will play around with each other, but yuri is not planned to be and will not be a main focus.

NOTE: Everything prior to Chapter 57 was written based on the original game and system. After the 2.0 update, many of the skills and cyberware have changed function and description, so the early chapters will be "out of date".
Basil just wanted to coast for a month before he had to go back to college. Now, he's thrown into the chaotic world of Cyberpunk 2077. At least the powers that be gave him game-like abilities, which he can use to get rich and thrive. The only problem is that Night City is filled with cyberpsychos (and regular psychos), least of which is a certain Japanese megacorp CEO that's hell bent on starting the next corpo world war. Basil has to work double time to avoid such a disaster if he wants a chance at enjoying his second life.

There will be sexy time, but the focus will be mainly on the plot. I am NOT planning on Edgerunners having any significance, so I will mostly respect the world as it is at the start of the video game.
