Or; Shouto’s soul mark gets leaked. But while his friends all worry about the consequences, Shouto, to everyone’s surprise, doesn’t seem that bothered by the news.

“Oh,” Todoroki says simply, looking as shocked as his impassive face could as he meets Katsuki’s dumbfounded gawk. He appears to be in the middle of hanging his laundry to dry in the fresh spring breeze, on his balcony, outside of his apartment room.

“What the fuck are you doing here?!” Katsuki demands despite already knowing the answer, clinging to the faint hope that his deduction could somehow be wrong.
“I live here,” Todoroki replies, crushing Katsuki’s dreams with the three little words.
When Katsuki was touring the apartment complex and scoping out the room, he thought the most he had to worry about was making sure that there were no pre-existing leaks with the plumbing and that the walls were adequately soundproof. He didn’t expect having to check if he was going to be stuck living next to Todoroki, but of course he is.
