"I… heard you mumbling to yourself." Momo finally spoke up. "I thought you'd quiet down, so I didn't do anything, but, erm…. then you said my name. Sorta like. Like a moan."
Okarun hunched his shoulders up and ducked his head. This was it. He was going to get tossed out of her house, and she'd never talk to him again. "I'm sorry."
"No! Don't apologize!" The sternness in her tone startled him, making him jump as his eyes quickly searched for her's. "Look dude, I'm not tryin' to like… shame you, or whatever." At this, she took a seat on his futon and exhaled. "Gimme a sec, this ain't easy to ask."
"Ask… what, exactly?" He whispered. The anticipation was killing him. If she wasn't upset with him, then… what exactly was happening?
"I said gimme a second!" Momo turned back to glare at him, but there was no really heat in it. She shut her eyes and brushed her bangs out of her face. "Did you… need help? Down there..?"

Beneath the utter contempt in his eyes, there's an exhaustion that permeates every part of him. “Apparently I had enough demon blood integrated into my system that it didn't take much to stitch me back together. It's a decent evolution of the mechanism I designed. A shame it doesn't serve me much use like this. They're quite strict on how much blood I'm rationed, you see.”
“This is insane.” She leans her weight on the desk, feeling faint. “They're using you as the fucking prototype.”
(Months into the siege on Hell, Mary "Lady" Arkham realizes she's in over her head. Somewhat of a fix-it fic set post-season 1 of the Netflix series that will see Lady and the White Rabbit dragging each other through a hostile, painful redemption.)
