“Yes! A friend of mine!” This seemed to excite him, as he waved his hands around excitedly. “Say, you wouldn’t happen to have a brother or anything of the sort, would you?"
And, of course, the answer was no. Molly knew that. Yet, for some reason, she hesitated. Maybe it’s just because she had never been asked that before, but something prevented her from just answering the question. Instead, she found herself racking her brain, searching for an answer. “A brother…?"
Molly meets a strange new angel who says she looks familiar. This prompts a reflection on her life and her relationship to her brother Anthony.

Charlie pulled her knees up to her chest. “As far as I can tell, he just stays in his room. I thought that moving someplace with a lot of people would discourage him from doing that, but I almost feel like it’s gotten worse…”
“Huh, wonder what he does in there all day,” Angel said. And then Niffty spoke up for the first time, having been eerily silent since the game started.
“Oh, he mostly just sleeps,” she said. All eyes turned to her, but she didn’t seem to notice, adding more chips to the pot. “Raise.”
There were a few grumbles, but all of the other players added more chips, except for Charlie.
“Wait, what do you mean he just sleeps?”
Even after moving to the hotel, Lucifer's self-isolation does not improve. Charlie is worried about her father, so her friends encourage her to talk to him about it.

It was easy to smile. Alastor proved that every day, with a grin that never fell. A grin that betrayed his true emotions with subtle twitches that were unnoticed to anyone who wasn’t looking close enough to spot it.
It was harder to smile convincingly, to cover up every undesirable emotion with an easy smile and hopeless optimism. And Charlie knew that better than anyone else. Everyone looks closely when a smile is suspicious. No one questions it when a smile looks genuine.

Every instinct told her to beg for her life, to plead with him not to do this. But she’d gone into this fight prepared to die for her people, she’d purposefully worn her crown so that if anyone managed to take her down, she was dying as the Princess of Hell instead of just Charlie. So she met his gaze with as steady a glare as she could, claws digging into his arm to cause as much meager pain as she could. “Fuck you.”
