“You’re already planning to lie about the date. Why don’t you just tell her you met someone yourself?”
Eddie shrugs and tilts his head to the side, squinting in thought. “She won’t set me up on dates if she thinks I’ve got someone,” he muses. “But she’ll want to meet whoever it is.”
“So... Introduce them?”
Or: Buck offers to fake-date Eddie so Pepa will stop setting him up on dates.

Eddie has never put any faith in personality quizzes. Buck, however, loves them, just as he does every other curiosity-driven deep dive into the vast pool of knowledge on the World Wide Web.
“This one is different though,” Buck claims. He’s been trying to convince the whole crew to take a new test all morning.
“How is it different, Buckley?” Chimney asks from where he is slowly merging into a bean bag by Hen’s feet.
“It’s about Love Languages.”

Summary
“What do I normally get from there?” Eddie asks him, chin settled back onto his shoulder.
“The kung pao chicken.” he answers almost instantaneously, having all of Eddie’s usual take-out orders memorised by now. It comes in handy for when they need to get food in quick whilst navigating work and Christopher. It’s not weird.
He, unfortunately, misses the odd look that Maddie sends him. As well as the way that Hen hides a snicker behind a cough.

Buck didn’t even look. He reached beneath the counter, grabbed a small white bag and the to-go cup of juice he had ready before sliding it across to Eddie. “You want the apple turnover. Some orange juice too.”
Eddie blinked. “How’d you—”
“You always glance at both of them but never pick them. Thought I’d make the call for you today. Start your day off with some joy.”
His eyes lingered on Buck. “Always do.”
Or Buck owns a bakery, Eddie gets a little sweet treat every day, and they learn what joy is.
