As he did, he felt a new piercing pain in his gut. Slips of paper covered in blood fell off of an orange kimono and cat-like eyes looked up at the king of demons with an excited, toothy smile.

The Yoshiwara Entertainment District, a wash of vanity and desire. A town frothing with love and hate.
Coming off the battle of the Mugen Train, Nezuko and her friends train relentlessly for months to try to wash the stench of loss from their souls. As they get back on their feet, they are approached by another Hashira with an exciting mission: Go undercover in Yoshiwara and locate missing Demon Slayers while avoiding the detection of the demon who dwells there. However, everyone seems to have something to hide behind the painted doors of the pleasure houses and a horrid perfume wafts in the air. Nezuko needs to keep her head above the glamor of the crowds and run towards the wind, for it will let her soar, or risk slipping in the dark and losing her grip on those she holds close to her heart.

She stood up straight as she completed the attack, her hair billowing behind her beautifully, and raised her green sword in the air.
She silently returned her green katana to its scabbard, the masterfully crafted green glass leaves forming the pinwheel-esque blade guard glimmering in the moonlight.
The old man felt a sob shake his body. “You… saved us, didn’t you? My memory may not be very good, but I could never forget that sword… that hair… that smile…”

When the snow cleared, Nezuko noticed that Tanjiro was no longer trying to attack her, instead he was trying to crawl away. The young girl latched onto his waist and faced their attacker. She was shocked to see that the assailant was a young woman not much older than Tanjiro wearing a haori that was decorated like the wings of a butterfly. The young woman’s purple eyes glared daggers into the siblings.
“Are you alright? I could have impaled you.” Her voice was light, but stern.
Nezuko yelled back. “Why did you attack us?”
“Because that boy is now a demon, a creature of darkness who craves human flesh. Demons are born when their blood is mixed with the blood of another demon.” The woman pointed her sword at Tanjiro’s body. “And it is my job as a Demon Slayer to eliminate all such monstrosities.”
