They’d never exchanged words beyond sorry, my son likes to talk and it’s okay, I do too, but then Hot Single Dad had given him a smile – all big teeth and crinkled eyes – and that was enough for him to become a regular cast member in Jake’s fantasies.
It wasn’t purely carnal desire, though. Jake genuinely felt an urge to get to know him – both of them, truthfully. He’s pretty sure there’s black mold in his walls – that’s what he tells himself to excuse the level of delusion he’s reached. He’s having black mold poisoning induced psychosis, but it’s fine, everything is fine.
Or, where Jake gets a glimpse of the kind of family he'd always wished for, and wonders if maybe, just maybe, they'd been wishing for him, too.

His eyes land on a guy, sitting alone at a table without so much as a pencil in front of him, and –

He looks a lot like Heeseung Lee, actually.

They had a competitive streak. They both liked to win. Jay sometimes, kind of, sorta wants to kiss him about it.
And Jake had looked at Sunghoon this morning and said you’re all mine, but it hadn’t felt like he was saying it to Sunghoon at all. It felt like he was speaking to Jay directly, like what he was really saying was something more like – try and take him from me.
And he knows that one unfinished bathroom encounter does not hold a candle to three years of learning each other inside and out, but he finds himself wishing it did.
or, where Jay reasonably assumes that hooking up with Sunghoon will only involve the two of them, but underestimates just how much Jake hates being left out.

It’s nothing movie-like. Doyoung isn’t searching for someone, not here of all places, but Doyoung sees him anyways. Younger than him, for sure, but well built, fair skin, probably some muscles are hidden behind the t-shirt, the thighs are easy to see, such a minuscule piece of clothing he's wearing, a poor excuse for a swim trunk.
Doyoung is not planning to act on this pretty little thing. He's not planning to get closer.
