He quickly backed out of the message, double clicking the little call button on his keypad and holding the phone to his ear. He listened as it rang, clutching his phone so tightly it felt like he might break it, but if he didn’t he was sure he’d lose his grip on it with how clammy his palms had gotten. He glanced up at the still red light staring back at him, begging under his breath, “C’mon, pick up, pick up-“
“Hey, it’s Alex-”
“Fuck!” Jay threw his phone across the car, not caring where it landed as he switched his foot to the gas and floored it. He ran the red light, but that was so insignificant compared to those two little words still sitting in his messages.

Summary
Tim wasn’t the only one to survive the events of Marble Hornets- Jay, Brian, and Alex survived too. A world where things went a little bit differently, by some standards just a little bit luckier. But friendships and relationships often crumble under trauma of that caliber, like playing Russian Roulette with all you’ve got left.
Moving on from Marble Hornets wasn’t easy, not after the tragedy they all faced. Moving on alone was even harder- and thats not even factoring in the stress of becoming parents. But that was fine, it was all over, everything else was a piece of cake.
Until their daughters decide that getting their dads back together is the best idea ever, and together dredge up a past that wasn’t buried deep enough.
