It’s hard to reconcile the Loki who killed eighty people in one day with the Loki that’s now sitting next to them, who’s trying to reduce the points of impact by holding himself tightly. It makes Tony wonder if maybe they were wrong about a few things.

Funny how Loki has made a decision without ulterior motive for the first time in his life and yet no one would believe he did it just because he could. No one asks, anyway. Not even Thor.

It’s been weeks and it’s way too long for everyone involved, each passing day without finding Tony increases the fear of never finding him. Until they do and what they learn might change everything.
There is a long road to recovery and it might be even longer when it comes to answering painful questions related to a past Tony would have preferred to keep hidden and forgotten.
And if answers are given, admittedly quite reluctantly, Bucky will also get something much better than expected.

Tony Stark returns home from Afghanistan to find his life turned upside down. Pepper and Rhodey are gone and he is alone. As he tries to piece back together his life he is kidnapped once again and sold away to the highest bidder.
Bucky Barnes hates Tony Stark. His whole squad survived their tour overseas only to have a Stark missile misfire on American soil. He alone survived the blast but was left with only one arm as a result. The metal replacement arm Stark dropped at the hospital malfunctions the first time he's back in the field. Discharged from the army with no where to go he begins transporting probably stolen art for an auction house.
When he discovers his latest job is not art but instead the human he hates most in the world he must make a choice to help the bound man or to look the other way and deliver him to his buyer.
