Earth barely managed to avoid its own annihilation thanks to the last second assistance of new alien visitors. Slowly, civilizations that had been nearly destroyed through nuclear warfare, famine, and disease are rebuilt with the Autobots' help.
But the Autobots' assistance isn't entirely altruistic. Earth has something they want. Because mixed with the millions of others are humans with spark signatures and the potential to become sparklings. And the Autobots who had believed they were doomed to a slow extinction, have no intention of letting their new little ones go.

Summary
He feels optic fluid run down his faceplate. No one is coming. He had run his servo around the walls on the first day, and it didn’t even seem like this room had a door. He really was just left in a box to rust away. If it was someone who wanted information, there would have been questions. If someone wanted to just kill him, there were far easier ways. If he was to be sold to the highest bidder as a slave or just a trophy, he would be on display and better fed.
Whoever has him must hate him. Maybe there was a camera out of his reach just recording this torture.
Rodimus was finally happy. His life had improved so much with Megatron as his co-captain, only for it to be ripped away from him because of one stupid mistake. Now who was he supposed to become? Tarn's words sooth his aching spark, maybe Tarn will be the one to free him from his guilt?
Rodimus doesn't want to be alone anymore- Never again.

A lilt in action was normally filled with rushing and panic, scrambling to clear the aftermath of the previous hours. The chaos never ended, but it took on various forms.
Optimus would be on site, hefting crates and supplies with his soldiers and tending to his lieutenants, but recent events took precedence. Metroplex's awakening baffled everyone, and Optimus didn't have an answer for them. The titan answered only to him, drawn to the Prime, or perhaps the Matrix. He was curious to learn more about the giant, and none of the troops were offended by him focusing on Metroplex. Anything that would give them answers.
Optimus wasn't sure he was going to get them.

Miguel is too far gone.
“Mi-Miguel, please, please, I can't—you have to listen to me. This i-isn't you- I can tell this isn’t you, please—" Miles cries, choking on his tears.
Miguel snarls at him, unsheathed fangs dripping with venom. He removes one hand from Mile’s wrist, only to move it to his neck. His talon pricks the skin, small beads of blood trickling down from each contact point.
The boy lets out a scream, his body writhing under Miguel’s grasp as he sobs.
Miguel only squeezes harder.
The man’s gaze moves from where his own wrist stifles Miles up to the kid’s face.
He looks half dead, covered in a mixture of dried and fresh blood, patches of hair matted by the gore.
His gaze makes its way up to Miles’ eyes. He looks horrified, eyes wide with terror and glossy with fear. Miguel presses his talons in deeper. He wants—needs—to see the life drain from his face, watch the light fade from his eyes.
