Bakugou doesn’t make it out of the war alive, and, as if he’d quite literally “wished upon a star”, he doesn’t really *die* either.
Izuku is hit by a permanent quirk that allows him to see ghosts/spirits/vestiges of people once alive, and he finds out that his childhood bully, rival, and best friend hasn’t left his side since he died.
Alternatively: Bakugou has had a lot of time to think, since no one could see him or hear him for eight entire years. Until now. Explaining to the nerd why he decided to follow him around like a kicked puppy all these years was going to be incredibly fun.

“Hmm,” Shōta hums, all of Nedzu’s training scurrying to the forefront of his mind. Careful, careful, his old sensei’s voice hums in his ear, you don’t want to startle your prey. “Not many people know Underground Heroes, especially not me.”
“I-I,” that stutter is back in full force along with a fresh wave of red across those cheeks, “I’m a-an analyst so I-I read a lot of your case files.”

But instead I have someone who follows us around on rooftops and lurks in the shadows thinking he’s some silent protector and not a fucking deadbeat. So yeah, I’ll settle for a divorce. It’s the next best thing I have.”

Your husband left you before he could fuck things up. Too bad he still is when he appears in your life several years later, on the advent of your move from Gotham, and asks to meet his daughter. The past is a hard pill to swallow, but Josie deserves a dad. You just have to make sure you don't pussy out of seeing Jason again. Or, at least, that you don't kill each other.

Summary
Peter Parker returns from Berlin to find his Aunt has died in an accident at the hospital while he was gone. Heartbroken and orphaned once more, he doesn't put much thought into what will happen to him now. It isn't until Tony Stark once again turns up on his doorstep that he realises he now has more people in his corner than he thought.
After a year of living with Tony, they face Thanos. In a bid to save his son's life, Tony asks Strange to save him at any cost. When Strange tells him that he likely won't ever be able to see him again, Tony just tells him to do it. To save his son.-

Peter turns to dust in his father's arms, scared to die but content to see his family once more. So, he's confused — and a little annoyed — to find himself in a completely unknown city with no one to help him and no idea if he will ever get home again.
