Summary
The bed dipped under the weight of someone sitting on it and Clark could barely move because he knew that voice. He knew Batman, he knew Bruce Wayne, and neither was particularly close to him. Quite the opposite.
But maybe it was all a mistake. He knew that people tended to engrave the inner ring with a wedding date, a name or a message, and he frantically removed his ring, ignoring the distressed sound Bruce made beside him.
Inside the ring was engraved the tiniest bat and a date referring to, Clark supposed, the wedding.
"Fuck."

Second eyebrow joined the first in a show of surprise. Clark ? He was not aware of that one.
"Wouldn't that be fun?" He asked rhetorically with a sly grin before turning back and finally climbing the stairs, a bit nonplussed at the news. If there was one reporter he would date, it certainly would not be Clark.

Summary
Bilba Baggins had a very normal life. That is, before she was kidnapped by rude dwarves, of course. She had been a proper hobbit, with a lot of social connections, invitations to dinner and wonderful tomatoes growing in her garden. She had refused any contact with strangers, such as the weird man dressed in gray robes who had been trying to convince her to go on an adventure.
Or... Bilba is having a severe Stockholm symdrom, Nori is the best friend everybody needs, Thorin is a big marshmallow and Gandalf is not a wizard.

Harry blinked at him innocently. “Sorry, I don’t speak sycophant.”

Out of the corner of his eye he catches the Crooked Smiled Man now standing in the dark entrance way to his bathroom. He swallows around the taste of blood in his mouth, hands shaking, useless as his list of contacts blur beneath the burn of tears.
