Jiang Wanyin doesn’t make his acceptance a grand affair. He just nods and walks away. Lan Wangji watches his retreating back, wondering how he found himself suddenly engaged on this fine summer morning.

“Shut up,” Jiang Cheng snapped, but the words lacked any heat at all. They sounded far whinier than he’d liked, like he was already facing the torment of teasing that he knew Lan Xichen was about to give.
“I don’t think you want me to,” Lan Xichen continued. “I think you enjoy being called pretty.”
“I - “ Jiang Cheng choked, attempting to squirm or move but having no leverage to. Lan Xichen’s grip was too strong. “I don’t care!” he settled on, still wriggling to no success.
“No? Then, you won’t mind if I keep telling you, hm?”
“Do your worst,” Jiang Cheng huffed.

The morning of Jiang Cheng’s birthday, he wakes up a single man. By the end of the night, he has someone to share his bed with for the rest of his days.
