That was the last thing he said before leaving to enact the plan that would hopefully stop Vecna (Newsflash, it didn't). He had hoped that out of anything he ever said, they would listen to that.
But no. They just had to rush in and Eddie just had to sacrifice himself, he had to play the damn hero. Now Steve can't get that look out of his mind, his dreams, his nightmares. The look on Eddie Munson's face as the light left his eyes and the life left his body.

Friends don’t lie, or at least, that’s what the party all agreed on. Will of all people strictly went by this rule, and out of everyone, Mike believed Will truly could never lie to him.
At least, he did until now.
