When Blue woke up, it was to the sound of yelling, and Yellow shaking his shoulder and chirping frantically.
"Alright, alright, give me a second, Yell…" Blue yawned and stretched. Nearly every bone in their back cracked in response. "I just woke up. What's wrong?"

Summary
Purple had only taken off her elytra for a few days. Just a few days.
But her back itched.
Mango Orange was almost 40 years old and very knowledgeable, but even he could not tell you why he found a trail of dusty feathers in his living room at 7 A.M.
An hour, two cups of coffee, and a relatively okay breakfast later, he was finally ready to investigate it.
Green opened the trapdoor and called out with one long clarinet note.
... He didn't get a response. They called again, verging a few steps into the house proper. This time, a noise in the silence of the rooms.

Or: What happens when you come to rely on something with otherworldly origins too much, and it decides its code would be much better off merged with yours. After all, it was once living as well, and if you use it so much, surely having it as a permanent fixture in your life would be more of a boon than a curse.
It's only a shame that the process is so painful.
Maybe less of a shame that the people around you love you enough to help, though.

Summary
Purple is a flighty little creature, something of a deer in stick's clothing despite the wings often attached to her back. Even after months, she refuses to get close long enough for anyone to make a mark- not the five kids she befriended, not her former King. She's around them nearly every day, but the walls she's built are too sheer for anyone to see past, carefully constructed as they are.
Almost a year has passed since the incident in the Nether, and ex-King Mango is no closer to figuring her out.

Something in the back of her mind shivered, afraid of the possibilities of what could be found. Starlo, lost and stupid in the labyrinth of the abandoned facility? The remnants of a fallen star, hat and revolver held by white flora above piles of dust? Did he fall into the magma that rested within the building? Did Axis do something?
She was wasting time.
Ceroba slapped herself, taking in the clarity of pain. Right now, the main objective was to find him. Anything that came after they’d deal with together.
With a combination of raw fury and DETERMINATION, her foot crossed the border.

It's been thirty days since Starlo disappeared, leaving nothing in his wake except a curt, strange letter. There are no more leads to follow... until Ceroba finds something by the Steamworks gate. She is determined to do anything to have her best friend back, but nothing could prepare her for what she would find.
