Summary
Everyone has a façade they put on every day, the masks they create for themselves unbreakable. Until of course, they aren't anymore.
After Reki attempts suicide, him and his entire skating family come together, learning that sometimes to help, they themselves have to be vulnerable in return. No one is perfect and that fact comes to life little by little. Sometimes it's okay to be broken because those who truly love you will help you put together your pieces once again.
The thing is, they have to know how shattered you really are before you can be put back together again.

Reki tried really hard not to care. He tried not to care about how people saw him as the criminal he was. Covered in tattoos and constantly on a skateboard. Tried not to care about how much his dad loathed him and how his mother was prouder of someone else's son. About how everyone he got close to left him at some point, and about how the only one that stuck around was a gang leader he had a complicated relationship with. But the thing about caring was, it never really went away. He cared a lot about his sisters, and was doing his best to be a good brother. He cared about the kids that hung around the abandoned house, cared about his couple of friends. And Langa.. Langa who was an additional villain and an additional savior in the story of Reki's life. He couldn't stop caring about Langa, even if he resented him. For leaving, for being better than he could ever be, and for coming back..
