Summary
He rushes to the trash can; this morning’s breakfast (which is not much) comes up entirely. Dennis can hear commotion around him, and Princess and Perlah are talking to each other over the desk. Dana curses loudly, rushing to the boy’s side. “Hey, kiddo, you doing alright?”
“Woahhh…what’s happening right now? Whitaker? You alright?” Dennis can hear Dr. Robby’s voice now, next to him, not vomiting anymore--just spitting bile now. God, he feels like this the first shift all over again---maybe this is how Javadi felt minus the throw-up.
“Whitaker, I need you to answer me.”
When Dennis finally lifts his head from the trash can, almost all the staff have somehow stopped their work, watching him. They either cough awkwardly or just look away as his eyes finally find Robby’s own. There is some concern in his eyes, but the rest is stern and slightly grumpy.
Or: Dennis finds out some unexpected news---emphasis on the 'expecting' part.

Summary
The girl somehow steps closer to Robby, just enough for their bodies to brush slightly.
He can see the way Robby freezes, voice stuttering slightly at the touch before he takes a step sideways and continues talking, ignoring her.
The movement helps settle something in his belly, a comfort knowing his boyfriend is seeing it and is capable of deterring the advances politely.
Too bad Dennis isn’t as polite.

or the one where Dennis has the day off and decides to surprise his boyfriend at work with lunch. Too bad one of the new students seems to think she has a claim to his boyfriend, but Dennis is quick to set her straight. And if that means seducing his boyfriend in his semi public office where she may or may not hear them, well that would just be too bad...

Summary
Dennis Whitaker has been in a happy, healthy relationship for six years now. Five of those years being married to his amazing husband. For the most part his relationship has co-existed easily with his journey to become a doctor. At least, it was easy until his rotation in the emergency department of the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center had started. Everything becomes a little more difficult when you’re a med student and your senior attending just so happens to be the man you’re married to.

“It’s not like it was illegal or anything!” Dennis says with a huff. “When I was twenty I had, like, a little sort of fling with one of my professors. He was in his sixties, although you couldn’t tell just by looking at him.”
“Your professor?”
“Cool it with the judgmental tone,” Dennis warns, narrowing his gaze at Robby. “Or did you forget that you’re my boss?”
