Summary
Eight months ago, no-shit ghosts appeared for the first time, heralded by the terrifying lightning-cloud shadow shape of the Amity Park Phantom.
Six months ago, the Phantom and what can only be described as a hellhound annihilated Axion Labs, causing Damon Gray to be demoted and shattering the balance of Valerie Gray's life.
One day after that, a box arrived with a suit and instructions, and the Huntress took to the sky for the first time. Barely half a month later, her suit was destroyed, and she was given a new and terrifyingly responsive powered armor by an unseen benefactor right when she needed it most. She's hunted ghosts in as much of her spare time as possible ever since, even surrendering the boy she maybe loves in order to protect him better. As the son of the eccentric but capable local mad scientists, she hopes he'd understand if anyone ever learned who she actually is.
Sometime in the last thirty-six hours, thousands of monstrosities poured into Amity Park, and Valerie finds herself reluctantly fighting alongside the Phantom in a desperate defense. It's been nonstop, but she has to keep both her home and the ring she received yesterday safe. Even if it means putting herself on the line.

Tim is the only one consistently watching. Thus he’s the first and only one to notice one more body following the streets like the bats do. A kid with all black hair and white motifs and an attitude problem that reminds him a tad too much of Jason. It was a shame Jason was adamant that he “didn’t know anything”, what a liar right?
But the streets of Gotham listened and the name on everyone’s lips playing like a discordant harmony was one word: Distortion. Not that Tim knew what it meant yet, but Danny would make sure he would. If Danny lived long enough for Tim to find out.

Summary
Is it running from your problems if your problems consider you to be a dead imprint of consciousness that killed their son? Yes, but Danny tries not to think about how his nightmares of his parents trying to kill him came true when they found out he was Phantom.
After being on the run from his parents and the government for a couple of months, moving from town to town, Danny ends up in Gotham City and decides to risk staying in Batman's territory. He'd take the wrath of Batman over live vivisection via beloved parents or being studied and torn apart by the government. Besides, he's not a meta. Being dead is a medical condition.

Summary

He needed to find a way to bridge the divide, and quickly, because an electronic plague burned through Amity Park, and they'd made a hasty alliance to put it out.
Valerie's double life continued to vex her, her work as Huntress made more difficult by Phantom's interference. Then, stability came in the form of a mind-melding upgrade to her suit. It responds to her every whim, its power strengthening with every passing day. Serendipitous, because a ghost curse was spreading through town like ink through water, transforming every piece of technology into a potential adversary. Pulled between her hatred of ghosts and her growing affection for Phantom, she might just destroy her new partner, if her suit doesn't do it first.
