Summary
On patrol in Erebor’s northern reaches, Kili’s group is attacked by a fearsome clan of barbaric dwarves who live in the cold north. He is kept alive, barely, and taken north to be a slave of the clan. A golden-haired warrior, Fili, claims him. Trapped north of the mountains through the winter, Kili finds that he will have to rely on Fili for survival and protection amongst a cruel and hostile people. But the tribe’s Chieftain uses Kili as a pawn to get what he wants from Fili, threatening and harming the young prince. Fili, distraught by Kili’s suffering, must find a way to save him without bringing about both of their downfalls.

Everything old is new again and X-Files is coming back, so thought I'd dust off an old favorite. Think of it as fanfic Glory Days.
Back in the mid-nineties, Amperage started the ball rolling and spear-headed this wee little fix, and she let me come along for the ride and co-write.
For those of you who are new to this, I hope you enjoy it. Remember, it's an old fave (twenty years!). For those who read it before, hope you enjoy visiting an old friend of a fic.
I'm going to repost it in pretty much the original format, with all the original notes, so forgive formatting idiosyncracies. This one is from way back in the days of archie and veronica, before we had browsers (yes, kids, there was a time before browsers, when we did everything in ftp!).
