“Ya son of a bitch, I knew-“ Osamu cut himself off when he noticed the bruise on Atsumu’s cheek. His eyes trailed down, stopping at the finger-shaped bruises around his neck.
“‘Samu, you really shouldn’t be here,” Atsumu said quietly, all his loud confidence gone as he shifted uncomfortably under Osamu’s gaze.
“He’s fuckin’ hittin’ ya?” Osamu’s voice was lower now, but his angry tone made Atsumu shrink away from him. “That why ya been avoidin’ me?”

Daichi looked up from his reading at Suga’s sudden words.
“What?”
“I said I’m going to die soon,” he repeated calmly.
The setter, who was lying on his back on the bed, rolled over onto his side and looked down at where Daichi was sitting on the floor. Daichi set down his book beside him. Suga gave him a small smile. Daichi frowned.
“Don’t say that.”
“Why not? Because it’s true?” When Daichi didn’t reply, Suga reached out and tousled his hair. “I’m sorry. I know it’s hard for you to hear me say things like that. But it helps me come to terms with it. Do you understand?”
Daichi closed his eyes and sighed. “I do.”

Her knees are pressed together, and looking there leads to him looking at her thighs, visible with the short skirt she’s wearing. She looks so cute, and her small hands are clutching the bed sheets beneath her.
His gut clenches, and twists in a very familiar feeling.
“Come sit,” she says, a question without inflection, as she pats the space beside her.
Painfully nervous but unable to refuse he does as he’s told, settling next to her with an almost respectable distance between them. He clasps his hands between his knees just to have something to do with them, and can’t bring himself to look at her.
