Summary
Something to consider is that Lila’s machinations were twofold.
She didn't just damage Marinette's relationship with her classmates. She also damaged their relationship with Marinette. After all, what does it say when people will willingly choose to believe a liar over a girl who regularly goes well out of her way for them?
It's something the class didn't realize until it was already too late.
