This was written after being inspired by a comment on reddit by user u/Thecrazybrqziliboy The comment is as follows
I don't think so, however, if I were to rewrite it, I would rewrite it this way.Anastasia, Crush, Felt and Priscila did not marry Subaru for love, and neither did he.
They got married out of obligation, the dispute to know who would be the new queen of Lugnica was never ending, it seemed to never reach a conclusion.
So, the wise men made a decision, the 5 candidates for the throne would marry the hero responsible for the death of the 2 great beasts, Subaru Natsuki.
And then, without any choice, they accepted and now they all live in the same mansion with Subaru.
The story would show the discomfort of this situation, as Subaru would have to get used to the fact that he will have to marry 5 women, and 4 of them only one that he loves, and also accept the fact that well...He will be forced to have children with each of them for the royal line to continue.
This If's story wouldn't be a cute harem, but something uncomfortable to read.
Well, at least that's how I would do it.

Hooray! How did he do that you may ask? Well, Satella isn’t cruel enough to update his checkpoints when he’s being tortured! Even she knows that there is a time and a place for her to express her love! She’s not that crazy! Though once the Witch noticed her dearly beloved was truly suffering, she decided that maybe she could try and include a few of his friends in her love! And give him a way to share his old memories. Then he could go back to being the boy she loves! Though her timing couldn’t be more perfect! With that our Stage is set! Now time to drawn the curtains and roll out the cast!

Subaru se despierta un día pero siente algo raro y al abrir los ojos se da cuenta de que ahí varias chicas abrazándolo fuerte mente como si fuera a desaparecer cuando todas ella se dan cuenta de que despertó ellas lo llena de amor y afecto cosa que solo le causa más extrañeza a Subaru pues no sabe que rayos está pasando pero las cosas solo empezaban y se volvieron más raras pues no solo las chicas actuaban de manera adecuada con el si no también las demás candidatas y sus amigos parecían ser más protectores con el, lo que no sabía es que sus amigos venían de un futuro oscuro y destrozado que ellos mismos causaron y ahora aran todo lo posible por evitar ese futuro oscuro incluso si eso significa matar.
