"Oh but you are," Kaveh teased. "Aha, hah, And you know what else??” Kaveh laughed and tightened his arms around Alhaitham, almost like a hug.
“What.”
“I reaallly love you, Alhaitham!"
Alhaitham was so caught off guard by that that he nearly stumbled. He felt Kaveh bury his face into his shoulder, laughing like the drunken lunatic he was.
"Uh, what?" Alhaitham said, his face more than a little warm now.
"Hah, trying to make me say things three times again? Nice try! I won't fall for that again!" Kaveh gave an indignant hmph.

Summary
Kaveh is a prince with a thousand expectations on him. Alhaitham is a dragon, and he can't really tell if he takes him seriously, but he has to get him to come to an agreement. Or at least, that's the excuse he's using when the dragon proposes sex as an icebreaker.

“Going somewhere?” Alhaitham questions in a lazy drawl. He’s leaning against the doorframe with crossed arms and raised brows.
“No.” Kaveh’s reply comes too quickly to be the truth.
Alhaitham sees right through him and pointedly glances between the shirt crumpled in Kaveh’s hands and the open suitcase laying by his feet.
Kaveh shuts his eyes and prays for Celestia to strike him down where he stands.
This is exactly what he’d been trying to avoid.

“Of course you do have a partner. But who in their right mind would leave you open like this?” Kaveh bit his lower lip, his eyes lowering to Wriothesley's slightly exposed chest briefly.
The Duke chuckled at that, reaching out to place Kaveh’s hair behind his ear. “You tell me. That Alhaitham guy is out of his mind to not follow his blonde beauty this far away… maybe I won't let you go back to teach him a lesson.”
The blonde blushed deeply from that, leaning against Wriothesley's touch. “Yeah, maybe you should. We should totally just mess around to teach them both a lesson.”In which Wriothesley hired the Traveler to help him organize a wedding in Meropide, and he bonded with the pretty blonde architect, formulating a plan to get both Neuvillette and Alhaitham to acknowledge their relationships.

Summary
It has become a habit for Alhaitham to wake in the morning to the smell of coffee and breakfast in the air. The gentle pitter-patter of steps and quiet humming in the kitchen as Kaveh sets about cooking for the two of them.
The next morning is much the same. That is until Kaveh makes a move to grab at Alhaitham’s coffee mug to hand to him and the mug falls from his hand and goes crashing towards the ground.
The quiet tranquility of the morning is broken as they both stare at it.
Alhaitham does not get his usual good morning kiss nor his goodbye kiss before he leaves for work that day.
or, Kaveh is feeling a little over his head about things. Alhaitham helps.

When he realized that Alhaitham had been acting...strange ever since the night Kaveh got drunk and Alhaitham broke his hearing aids, Kaveh did what he was best at: he denied that there was a problem and ran away to the desert to clear his head and pretend it never happened.
When he came back, Alhaitham was drunk and, according to Tighnari, did it regularly because he was moping. But that couldn't be right. Alhaitham hated him.

“Your hair,” he says.
Kaveh brings a hand up and gingerly touches his signature braid.

Summary
The people of Sumeru had not experienced dreams for the past five hundred years. Lesser Lord Kusanali then abolished the Akasha system and returned the wonders dreaming to her people.
However, there are complications that arise with freeing the brain’s unconscious activities. Nightmares start to haunt those that had previously repressed traumatic memories in order to cope.
Kaveh, on the other hand, begins sleepwalking. Alhaitham tries to fix the problem before someone gets hurt.

“WHY DO YOU KNOW MY DOORDASH ORDER,” Kaveh yells, typing furiously into his phone and brandishing the app in Al-Haitham’s face. “I PLACED THE ORDER RIGHT BEFORE I WALKED THROUGH YOUR DOOR.”
Al-Haitham is a tarot card reader. Kaveh is skeptical.

"Always." Alhaitham replied, without giving it a second thought.
"Archons, Alhaitham. Does he know you're dating him?"
Alhaitham snorted, a flush dashing across his high cheekbones. "What do you think?"
Tighnari leveled a piercing stare at Alhaitham in return. "I think you both must've fallen out of the Stupid Tree and hit every branch on the way down." He shook his head. "Come on, Alhaitham! At some point, one of you is going to have to say something!"Alhaitham figures out his sexuality at fourteen years old. It takes Kaveh nearly twice as long. That doesn't stop Kaveh from making out with Alhaitham all over Sumeru in the interim.
