Ruggie’s grieving is abruptly cut off. Leona’s voice cracks embarrassingly, uncharacteristically, as he interprets the other’s abject expression as disapproval.
“I ta—” and the vowel pitches up, “—ke it you don’t like the suggestion.”
It takes a week and a half for Leona to ask Ruggie out on a date. After an incident with Leona’s underwear, a few heated conversations, and a late apology session, Ruggie gets rewarded for his patience.
Who knew running away could feel this good?
Slap a NOT GONE WRONG! sticker on the till because beastmen will be beastmen, and they both love the thrill of the hunt. Getting to it is the hard part. Though, what happened to that date...?
