It started small, as most nightmares do.
Her mother’s voice, sharp as silver, commenting on her scars, her posture, the way she bit her lip when nervous. Enid had learned long ago that small imperfections meant big punishments. But she’d forgotten how heavy silence could feel when no one at the dinner table spoke except to point out how useless she was or how she won’t ever find love.
By the second week, she stopped replying in the group chat with Yoko and Divina.
By the third, she’d started wearing long sleeves.

Rhaenyra and Alicent have been best friends since they met in double science fourteen years ago. After being forced to spend a year in California to help set up a new branch of Targaryen Industries, Rhaenyra returns and realises that she can't hide her feelings for Alicent for much longer, especially when they have to share a room together for a week while on holiday.
