She finds a shop that feels misplaced in time, and picks up a journal. When she begins to write, someone writes back. A foe from the opposite side of the war, who is quickly becoming her closest friend.
Draco Malfoy is spiralling because it turns out redemption arcs don’t come with an instruction manual. He is lost, careening along with no purpose, no life outside of work. In a shop full of broken and forgotten things, he comes across a journal of his own. In the ink, he finds a new friend, a woman who believes he can be something greater than he was.
There's just one problem: they have no idea who the other person truly is.
And seriously, don't ask why he's called Steve.

On the advice of friends, she reluctantly joins a bereavement support group, where she confronts none other than Draco Malfoy—now also a widower, father, and a far cry from the supercilious teenager she last saw thirteen years ago.
Thrust together, both are forced to face the shadows of the past, the chasm in between, and re-evaluate one another on a journey of healing and growth, learning that, sometimes, time truly does heal all wounds—but only if they’re brave enough to let it.
