Summary
Byleth watched Jeralt smile at Monica and wondered what his father would do if he got the chance to go home. Would he go to sleep or would he find an excuse to talk to Byleth, as he sometimes did after a hard day? Would they stay up late talking, until the only one speaking was his father, tongue loosened by alcohol, as Byleth fought off sleep? He wanted that again and wanted it fiercely.
