Towards the end of the 1990's, a serial killer has emerged in the quiet and secluded Granite County area. On the trail of a missing highschool girl, police officials and detectives soon uncover the bloody path of the killer, leading them into all sorts of mysterious happenings. Pretty soon, it's a battle of wits, minds, and time as the GC Officials rush to find the highschooler. Will they find her alive? Or will she meet the same fate as many other victims, sinking towards the bottom of the Maple River, never to be seen again?

When I was twenty-something and going to medical school, our teachers always had one unspoken rule:
“Never tell the carnivores your name!” I remember the shrill voice of my college professor accurately. “That makes you a target for predation!” She had instructed us at the top of her voice.
Despite remembering her voice, I still can’t seem to remember what animal she was. All I remember was that I raised my hand into the air, with a matter-of-fact sort of air around me.
“Yes, Asa-kun?” My professor addressed me. She had a quirying tone. I remember standing up, eying my professor, and saying,
“If we’re supposed to be providing care and comfort for these animals, why can’t we be able to tell them our name?” I had said, the entire room having gone silent with awe. “What makes them any different than the rest of us?”
My professor, who had been avoiding looking at my face for quite a while now, suddenly looked me directly in the eyes, causing me to take a step back.
“Because, they will kill you without hesitation when given the chance.” Was all she said. -

In the year of 2065, change is brewing in the ruins of modern Japan. All across the country, an illness turning humans into half breed animal human hybrids. In a state of momentary calm, the government creates the metropolis of Rabumori to house these Anthrolians separate from humans. These Anthrolians were moved to the city by force, and most noted that the city was a cesspool of crime, death, and heartbreak.
Fast forward to the autumn of 2071, and a young teen Anthrolian living illegally in mainland Japan decides to make the trek to Rabumori in pursuit of a better life. On the opposite side of the spectrum, a young adult Anthrolian with mysterious abilities attempts to escape the city, bringing with her the destruction of both Rabumori and modern Japan.
Once these two collide, a thin thread is the only thing preventing them from destroying the country, and much less, the entire world. -
