“Why didn’t you tell me about Bodhi?” Finn demands, interrupting Poe.
Poe blinks, cutting off mid-word. “...Bodhi?”
“Bodhi Rook,” Finn asserts. “The pilot of Rogue One. Why didn’t you ever mention him?”
Comprehension dawns in Poe’s face, and it stings in Finn’s chest. “Bodhi!” Poe gasps. “Kriff, I’m an idiot,” he hisses, pushing a hand through his hair. “How could I forget Rogue One?”

Wedge keeps a notebook of flimsi and a real ink-pen in the pocket of his flightsuit at all times, and he doodles in it when he can. It keeps his hands busy in meetings, at least, when he finds it difficult to stay concentrating and listen no matter how hard he tries. Before long, he’s built up a book of sketches of the upper brass, everyone who comes to brief them. He knows the way their ships are built from observing them, putting pen to paper and marking out lines and shadows where the seams of metal fit, finding a way to represent them cleanly.

Summary
The end of the war should have meant a chance for everyone to settle down into happiness, but Luke and Wedge are struggling to understand exactly how they’re supposed to make a relationship work. What with Luke off hunting for Jedi artefacts, and Wedge still flying for the New Republic military, they simply don’t spend the time they need to together. What they want – a family and a life together – isn’t necessarily what they can have.
Until Wedge brings back a baby from a mission, and suddenly he has to work out how to be a parent. Meanwhile, Luke is far away from home, searching for something that he’s told no one about, and Wedge wonders what he’ll make of all this.

Leia sits on the cold plastic chair outside medical, knees drawn to her chin, fingers clinging to her shins. It’s been three hours since they landed; three hours since Luke was rushed into surgery and Leia deposited herself here and refused to move. Command took one look at her and Lando and Chewie and decided to leave her be, and get the story out of the scoundrel and the wookiee instead.
Then Wedge shows up, fresh off patrol, wanting to know what happened to Luke, and Leia realises that she doesn't know what to tell him.
She doesn't know anything anymore.

When the Falcon lands, there are seventeen people in the hangar. Leia, Finn, Admiral Statura, Poe Dameron, the dozen pilots from the refitted Blue Squadron and Wedge. Add to that the number of droids – one for each of the pilots, and Threepio at Organa’s side as always – and it feels too crowded to be intimate, and not crowded enough to be able to slip away unnoticed.
So Wedge stays there, attempting to continue his briefing while he’s aware that everyone’s attention has slipped to the YT-1300 class freighter behind him.In which Luke returns, and Wedge has absolutely no idea what to do about it.
