But you did... though not unscathed.
After succumbing for the first time to the wrath of Toriel, you wake up to the sensation of something growing on you. A golden flower trails the contours of your face, right where the goat dug her claws into you. While gazing at your reflection, your fingers follow the tendrils of its roots carefully. A display of your untimely death staring back at you, yet you were here anyway.
A cryptic buttercup by the name of Flowey guides you through the catacombs of the Underground, latching onto you like glue in hopes to also escape. As you travel through the caverns, you realize that teaching the monsters mercy may be harder than you initially thought. Despite this, you're not one to give up so easily. Forming an alliance with a certain skeleton turns out to be the best mistake you've ever made.

He looks for all the world like a fearsome outlaw, which makes the failed robbery all the more confusing to Stede, but there’s a vulnerability in his sleeping face that tugs on his heartstrings. Stede’s always been a bit of a sucker for a stray. He attributes it to being a bit of a stray himself.
Edward looks tired. Really tired, more than just the wound would justify.
